Tiền thân là doanh nghiệp Nhà nước, được thành lập năm 1971 với tên đầu tiên là Đội cầu Hà Nam.

Founded in 1971 as a State owned enterprise, the enterprise was first named Đội cầu Hà Nam (Ha Nam Bridge Team) operating in the field of transport infrastructure construction. 

In 1976, Ha Nam Bridge Team was renamed Ha Nam Ninh Bridge Company as the first professional step forward of the company and a critical change in the development strategy of the Leadership.

In 1992, the company decided to change its name to Nam Ha Traffic Work Company (Nam Dinh). 

Between 1971 and 2000, the Company was engaged in building bridges, culverts, dikes, embankments, transport infrastructure, etc. and it had continuously accomplished all the plans assigned by the State. Tasco team has joined the efforts in laying every bridge and road in Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, and Ninh Binh, contributing to a better local traffic network and economic structure. The Company was awarded a number of emulation flags, Certificates of Merit etc. by the Provincial People’s Committee. 

November 2000 marked a big turning point in the Company’s development progress. The Company carried out its equitization to convert it from a State owned enterprise into a joint stock Company under the Decision No. 2616/2000/QĐ-UB dated November 20, 2000 by Nam Dinh Provincial People Committee, and its name was changed to Nam Dinh Infrastructure and Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company.

In 2002, the Company was renamed Thanh Cong Infrastructure Construction Joint Stock Company under the Decision No. 12/2001/QĐ-HĐQT by the Chairman of the Board. 

In 2003, the company was merged into the Housing and Urban Development Holdings (HUD) under the Ministry of Construction as its associated company.

On December 15, 2003, the company changed its name from Thanh Cong Infrastructure Construction Joint Stock Company to Thanh Cong Joint Stock Company under the Decision No. 559/2003/QĐ-HĐQT by the Chairman of the Board.

In 2005, looking to promote its strength and prestige as well as experience from completed projects, the company officially became a system of “parent company - subsidiary company” with 2 branches in Nam Dinh, Ho Chi Minh City, 6 subsidiary companies including Phuong Tay Joint Stock Company, Thanh Cong Joint Stock Company No 1, Thanh Cong Joint Stock Company No. 2, Thanh Cong Joint Stock Company No. 3, and Thanh Cong Joint Stock Company No. 5, Tasco Tourism Joint Stock Company, and 20 construction teams who are directly responsible for the site work.

The period from 2006 up to now has seen the company’s extraordinary growth in all of its operation aspects. It has raised the charter to 55 billion VND capital from 16.8 billion VND and operated under the parent company - subsidiary company model. The company has specialized in building and erection, especially in bridge construction technologies, and aassociated with capable partners to build high value bridge works which require us to be master of high technology. The company has grown from a construction contractor into an owner of many large-scale projects with sustainable development strategy, stable construction and production, keeping it on the leading position in South Red River region.

On December 26, 2007, the Company was again renamed Tasco Joint Stock Company and issued the Business Registration Certificate by the Business Registration Division of Hanoi Authority for Planning and Investment. Its registered head office was 3rd Floor, Resco B15 Building, Dai Kim New Urban Area, Dai Kim Ward, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi City.

On January 1, 2008: The Company officially moved its head office from Nam Dinh to Hanoi. The year 2008 also saw many big events of the company: on April 11, 2008, 5.5 million shares of the Company under the stock code HUT was officially traded at Hanoi Securities Trading Center (HaSTC), asserting TASCO’s foothold in the global economic integration;

On June 24, 2008, the Company signed a BOT Contract on the project of “Improving and Upgrading the National Highway No. 10 - Section of La Uyen Bridge - Tan De Bridge in Thai Binh province” with total investment of 311 billion VND with Vietnam Roads Bureau and took over Tan De Bridge Toll station for return of project capital;

On July 10, 2008, the Company signed a BOT Contract on the “Nam Dinh city By-Pass Section from National Highway No. 10 to My Loc Town” Project with total investment of 313 billion VND with Nam Dinh Provincial People’s Committee and took over My Loc toll station for return of project capital;

On December 5, 2008, the Company signed a BT Contract on the project of “Building the road from Le Duc Tho street to Xuan Phuong new urban area- Tu Liem District- Hanoi City” with total investment of 1,543 billion VND with Tu Liem People’s Committee, and utilized the right of land use of “Residential units 2, 3” in Xuan Phuong new urban area and other property projects for return of project capital;
TASCO has been awarded the Emulation Flag for “Excellent Business” by the Government, and Mr Pham Quang Dung, Chairman of the Board, received “Thanh Giong” Cup for 100 Outstanding Vietnamese Entrepreneurs.
